The Cuisinart Griddler Indoor Grill is designed to serve two hobs that can be opened or closed, increasing its usefulness and allowing for a Sunday Brunch with two presses or a panini with one. In addition, the grills and pitchforks will enable you to cook on both grill surfaces. While the grill itself is not for experts or serious grillers of any kind, what the Griddler offers makes it an excellent all-arounder for those who want a device that opens up their cooking repertoire.
If your food is cooked on an ordinary indoor grill, you need to turn it over and cook on both sides. However, it doesn’t take up a lot of space, and the food tastes like sitting on an outdoor grill. The deluxe version of the popular Cuisinart Griddler resembles an indoor grill more closely than the original Griddler and has enough grill and cooking surface to grill food for at least four people at the same time.
The top and bottom sides are open, and each side has its temperature setting so that you can use one side of the frying pan and the other side simultaneously for grilling, like eggs on one side and grilled ham and bacon on the other. With the Cuisinart, you can also set different temperatures on the grill plate.
We liked the idea that we could open the grilles flat for two different cooktops, so we decided to grill the grill in half. You can grill one side and the other can be a frying pan, perfect for pancakes or eggs. In our first test of the 11 x 9-inch reversible grill, we laid it flat on a full frying pan and cooked onions.
The Cuisinart GR-6S Griddler has cooking presets for different food groups so that you can use the whole or half frying pan depending on the preset. The left dial controls the heat during grilling, and the right dial controls the heat during grilling and panini cooking.
We appreciate the simple operation of the Griddler and the easy cleaning of the grill plates in the dishwasher. The dishwasher safe part makes cleaning more manageable, so you don’t have to worry about scrubbing the mess of grills and dripping trays when your food touches something. T get rid of our outdoor grill to cook steaks on a sunny day, but we appreciate the easy-to-use frying pan and easy cleaning.
